AQAP Suspects Kill 6 Yemen Military Hospital Staff

Suspected al-Qaeda gunmen opened fire on a minibus carrying staff members from a military hospital in Yemen's Aden on Sunday (June 15th), killing at least six people, AFP reported.

The attackers used an assault rifle to rake an army minibus, carrying doctors and nurses working for the military hospital in Aden, with gunfire.

Two women were among the dead while at least 9 other staff members were wounded.

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has previously targeted medical workers, with the group carrying out a December attack on a defence complex in Sanaa that killed 56 people, among them a number of medics.
