The International Committee of the Red Cross presents this event, which includes a briefing by Pierre Gentile, Head of Unit for Protection of Civilian Populations, on ICRC’s Health Care in Danger initiative.

Increasing attacks on health care workers have impacted millions of people worldwide. The reverberations of such attacks are felt throughout the humanitarian and local communities as health programs cease either due to the deaths of irreplaceable staff or programs ending prematurely, leaving those most vulnerable with little to no access to health care. ICRC’s video demonstrates the real cost of targeting health care facilities and workers.

RSVP. The event is open to all, and a call-in option is available. Please dial 202-667-8227 and ask to be connected to the ICRC meeting.
